Queer Collective is a grassroots community built by and for queer people in Cyprus. We’ve just reached a big milestone — we’re now officially registered as an NGO. This step helps us grow, formalize our work, and strengthen our impact. But from the start, it’s been the people who show up, participate, and organize that make the Collective what it is.
Why Become a Member
Membership is what gives the Collective its strength. It’s not just a formality — it’s how we stay transparent, fair, and accountable.
What Members Can Do
- Join the Committee
The Committee is the group of members who meet regularly to decide what we do, how we do it, and how we use our resources. There’s no election, no long process — if you’re ready to take part, you can simply join. - Shape the Collective’s Direction
The Committee sets the Collective’s priorities and makes the key decisions. As a member, your voice helps guide our next steps. - Keep the Board Accountable or Join It
Members have the right to question Board decisions and, if needed, ask Board members to step down. This helps keep the Collective grounded in the needs of its members. If you believe you have the skills and knowledge to take up this role we want to hear from you.
About the Board of Directors
The Board exists to meet the legal requirements of being an NGO. It handles our formal obligations and ensures we remain compliant. But power stays with the members and the Committee — not the Board.
Who We’re Looking For
We want people who:
- Believe in building queer community in Cyprus from the ground up
- Are ready to bring their time, commitment, and care
- Don’t need experience or qualifications — just a willingness to participate

Το Queer Collective εν μια αυτοοργανωμένη κοινότητα, φτιαγμένη που τα ίδια τα queer άτομα στην Κύπρο. Εκάμαμε μόλις ένα σημαντικό επόμενο βήμα – είμαστε επίσημα πλέον ΜΚΟ. Τούτο το βήμα βοηθά μας να μεγαλώσουμε, να οργανωθούμε καλυτερα τζιαι να δυναμώσουμε το αντίκτυπο μας. Αλλά πολλά πριν το νομικό κομμάτι, το πιο σημαντικό ήταν πάντα ο κόσμος του Collective που εν παρών, συμμετέχει, τζιαι συν-οργανώνει.
Γιατί να γίνεις μέλος
Η ιδιότητα μέλους εν κάτι παραπάνω που μια τυπικότητα. Εν ένας τρόπος να διατηρούμε τη διαφάνεια, ισοτιμία, τζιαι λογοδοσία προς την κοινότητα μας
Τι μπορείς να κάμεις σαν μέλος
- Μπε στην Επιτροπή: Η Επιτροπή εν το σώμα που μαζεύκεται τακτικά, συζητά, αποφασίζει πού πάμε, με ποιον τρόπο, τζιαι πώς εκμεταλλευκούμαστεν τους πόρους μας. Εν έχουμε εκλογές ή περίπλοκες διαδικασίες – άμαν θέλεις να εμπλακείς, απλά μπαίνεις
- Διαμόρφωσε την πορεία του Collective: Η Επιτροπή θέτει τες προτεραιότητες, τες δράσεις τζιαι τα επόμενα μας βήματα. Η φωνή σου μετρά δαμέ.
- Έσιεις λόγο για το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο
Σαν μέλος, μπορείς να ελέγχεις τες αποφάσεις του Συμβουλίου, να θέτεις ερωτήσεις, ακόμα τζιαι να ζητήσεις αλλαγές άμαν χρειαστεί. Έτσι κρατούμε το Collective δίκαιο.
Λλία λόγια για το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο
Το Συμβούλιο υπάρχει για νομικούς λόγους. Φροντίζει να εν σωστά καταχωρημένο το Collective σαν ΜΚΟ, να τηρούμε τους κανονισμούς, τζιαι να έχουμε νομική κάλυψη. Η εξουσία όμως ασκείται που τα μέλη της Επιτροπής, όι που το Συμβούλιο.
Τι άτομα ψάχνουμε
Ψάχνουμε άτομα που:
- Πιστεύκουν στην ανάγκη να χτιστεί μια queer κοινότητα που την αρχή
- Έχουν να προσφέρουν χρόνο, δέσμευση τζιαι υπευθυνότητα
- Θέλουν να προσφέρουν/συμμετέχουν με ή χωρίς εμπειρία και γνώσεις
Γιατί τωρά
Τωρά ξεκινά μια καινούρια φάση, με πιο πολλά projects, εκδηλώσεις τζιαι ευκαιρίες να μεγαλώσουμε. Τωρά εν η πιο καλή στιγμή να γραφτείς μέλος, να μπεις στην Επιτροπή ή το Συμβούλιο, τζιαι να βοηθήσεις να διαμορφώσουμε όσα έπονται.
