Join the Queer Collective: Shape What Comes Next

Queer Collective is a grassroots community built by and for queer people in Cyprus. We’ve just reached a big milestone — we’re now officially registered as an NGO. This step helps us grow, formalize our work, and strengthen our impact. But from the start, it’s been the people who show up, participate, and organize that make the Collective what it is.

Why Become a Member

Membership is what gives the Collective its strength. It’s not just a formality — it’s how we stay transparent, fair, and accountable.

What Members Can Do

Join the Committee
- The Committee is the group of members who meet regularly to decide what we do, how we do it, and how we use our resources. There’s no election, no long process — if you’re ready to take part, you can simply join.
Shape the Collective’s Direction
- The Committee sets the Collective’s priorities and makes the key decisions. As a member, your voice helps guide our next steps.
Keep the Board Accountable or Join It
- Members have the right to question Board decisions and, if needed, ask Board members to step down. This helps keep the Collective grounded in the needs of its members. If you believe you have the skills and knowledge to take up this role we want to hear from you.

About the Board of Directors

The Board exists to meet the legal requirements of being an NGO. It handles our formal obligations and ensures we remain compliant. But power stays with the members and the Committee — not the Board.

Who We’re Looking For

We want people who:

Believe in building queer community in Cyprus from the ground up
Are ready to bring their time, commitment, and care
Don’t need experience or qualifications — just a willingness to participate
