On Saturday, June 17th<\/strong>, communities across Cyprus came together to march for LGBTQI+ rights<\/strong>. For the second year in a row, LGBTQI+ organisations, communities, and allies from across the island<\/strong> united for United by Pride<\/strong>, an intercommunal Pride march calling for visibility, equality, and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s United by Pride was made possible by a powerful coalition of organisations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • European University Cyprus LGBTQI+ Society<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    \ud83d\udccd The March<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The event began at 18:00<\/strong> with two parallel marches<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • From\u00a0Eleftheria (Liberty) Square<\/strong>\u00a0in the south<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • From\u00a0Ku\u011fulu Park<\/strong>\u00a0in the north<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      The marches converged in front of the Home for Cooperation<\/strong> in the buffer zone<\/strong>, where the crowd filled the space with rainbow flags, chants, and solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \ud83c\udf89 The Celebration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The gathering continued until 23:00<\/strong>, transforming the buffer zone into a place of celebration, resilience, and community. Music, performances, and speeches highlighted the struggles and achievements of the LGBTQI+ community in Cyprus, while also sending a clear message: we are stronger together.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
