Queer Collective officially launched in 2022, born from a simple shared truth: a lack of community for LGBTQIA+ people in Cyprus. In a society where discrimination, exclusion and isolation are still prevalent, and visibility and representation fall woefully short, we were driven by the need to create a point of reference where all LGBTQIA+ people on the island could come together, share experiences, support each other, and through this, find empowerment and inclusion.<\/p>

We are a grassroots initiative, built by queer individuals and volunteers living in Cyprus. Our work isn\u2019t just about celebrating identities; it\u2019s about actively building a network of solidarity, empowerment, and shared action. Through events, local projects, collaborations, and cultural events, we strive to make space for LGBTQIA+ voices.<\/p>

One of our proudest achievements is\u00a0United by Pride, a historic intercommunal pride event bringing people across the divide, which we initiated, and pushed to make a reality. United by Pride continues to bring together organisations, groups, and individuals from all corners of the island, transcending borders, built by the community for the community.\u00a0<\/p>

We are committed to more than just giving LGBTQIA+ people a voice; we\u2019re creating a platform where everyone can actively contribute to change. Through an intersectional lens, our work is rooted in the ongoing struggle for equal rights, radical inclusivity, and social justice. Always with the goal of building a future where all LGBTQIA+ people can live freely and authentically.<\/p>

Our structures are open for participation by community members, collaborative, and community-driven.
